The Marquee Club
Membership in MainStreet’s Marquee Club, a division of MainStreet Musicals, is open to commercial and not-for-profit producers and patrons interested in encouraging and ensuring the vibrancy of American musical theater. Members enjoy great benefits and, as jurors for the annual MainStreet Awards, members have the opportunity to acquaint themselves with all the shows competing for one of three slots in the year’s MainStreet Festivals. Marquee Club membership fees underwrite Festival expenses such as performer stipends.
MARQUEE CLUB Member Benefits:
- Members may submit personally optioned works for review by MainStreet Evaluations, potentially leading to national exposure through MainStreet Festivals.
- Members whose personally optioned works are selected for the Festivals may enhance the local readings by sending out team members (e.g. a principle cast-member, a director, or musical director) to work with local performers.
- Members are encouraged to attend the regional readings.
- Members may expand their professional networks by participating in the development of particular local Festivals.
- Members may join the Jury that selects the MainStreet Award Finalists.
- Get to know the creators of the MainStreet Award-°©‐winning shows.
- Members may meet with MainStreet Evaluators – professional directors, musical directors and choreographers – potential collaborators for future theatrical projects.
- Members looking for new projects may browse MainStreet’s pool of Award‐winners.
- Members will be recognized on MainStreet’s website and in Festival programs.
- Members may participate in developing this unique, ground‐breaking mechanism for introducing new works into this expanding American Theatre marketplace.
